Hornsea Pottery was founded in 1949. At its zenith, this remarkable pottery employed over four hundred people. It exported its wares to 56 countries around the world and also produced items for BHS, Harods, Marks and Spencer, and Next. Over the years, until its demise at the turn of the century, Hornsea Pottery produced a wealth of lovingly  designed and well manufactured tableware and decorative items.
