Hornsea Pottery produced Saffron from about 1970 to 1992. It was designed by John Clappison and was produced in the same shapes as Heirloom and Bronte. Its distinctive caramel, orange and brown colouring helped it to become very popular and it was sold in very large quantities.
However it is not surprising that since Saffron was discontinued some 14 years ago, it has now become very difficult to obtain in good condition. Make sure that you purchase your requirements while we are still able to offer good quality items.
