A magnificent vase in the "CS" pattern of traditional hand painted pottery, manufactured by Poole Pottery. The vase stands approximately eight inches tall and is in superb condition. The colours are vibrant and the painting had be excellently executed.
We believe, from marks on the base of the vase, that the paintress was Jean Cochram who worked at the pottery from 1945 to 1957, but as with all such marks, we cannot be certain. We have provided a photograph of the paintress mark for your guidance. The base of the vase also bears the impressed Poole, England mark and the impressed shape number "203".
