Poole Pottery Traditionally Hand Painted Egg Cup Stand in the OX Pattern (Carter Stabler Adams)

A very pretty little hand painted tray for an egg cup from Carter Stabler Adams (early Poole Pottery) in their traditonal style. The tray is in the rarely seen OX pattern. It has a diameter of approximately 6.25" tall. From the marks on the base (please see the photographs) we believe that the tray was produced between 1925 and 1927, and was  painted by Marjorie Cryer. This really is a very nice early piece of Carter Stabler Adams. It is in very good condition and remarkably for an item of this age, I can find no sign of crazing. if held up to the light there is some very minor scuffing on the surface (too minor to show up on the photograph) but apart from that it is in excellent condition.

These hand painted Carter Stabler Adams pieces from the 20's are now becoming very difficult to find in good condition. Enjoy owning such a lovely item and give it pride of place in your display.
