DENBY POTTERY ARABESQUE
Arabesque (initially known as "Samarkand") was first produced by Denby Pottery in the early 1960's. (We believe that some of it was marketed in the USA under the name "Samarkand"). Gill Pemberton initially designed it as a small set of giftware but the range was extended to eventually include a very wide range of dinner, tea, coffee and serving ware. Some of the more exotic and much sought after pieces in the range include ice buckets and large circular platters.
Arabesque is probably one of the most easily recognized and highly collected of all Denby's products. However, this range was discontinued in about 1984 and items have now become very difficult to obtain in good condition. Purchase your requirements while we still have such excellent items of Arabesque available.
