This is the attractive and useful lidded serving dish in the popular Contrast pattern produced by Hornsea Pottery. This is the version with the looped handles.

Hornsea Pottery discontinued the Contrast range in the early 90's after a production run of nearly 20 years. The pattern is still very popular but unsurprisingly, items are now becoming very difficult to obtain in good condition.  Ensure that you purchase your requirements while we have such excellent examples of Contrast available.
