This is the salt pot or salt cellar in the discontinued Hornsea Pottery Contrast range. 

For some reason salt and pepper pots are amongst the items that replacement services such as ourselves are always being asked for. Since Contrast was discontinued by Hornsea Pottery in about 1992, it is now becoming very difficult to find such items in excellent condition.
