Poole Pottery Chestnut Lug Handled Open Serving Dishes

Open, lug handled serving dishes from Poole Pottery in the Chestnut pattern. These dishes measure approximately ten inches across the top, from the outside edge of one lugged handle to the outside edge of the opposite handle. They stand approximately 3.75" tall .  These Chestnut items are in very good condition.

Chestnut was one of a series of patterns in the "Compact" shape, designed b y Robert Jefferson and first produced by Poole Pottery in the mid 1960's. It was a very practical style, designed to stack easily and safely.  The range was discontinued by Poole Pottery many years ago and has now become very difficult to obtain in good condition.
