Poole Pottery Hand Painted Traditional Posy Bowl in the WW Pattern

A lovely posy bowl from Poole Pottery. The item is hand painted in the traditional style in the rarely seen "WW" pattern. The bowl has a diameter at its widest point of approximately 5.75".  The shape number "221" is impressed on the base. Please see the additional photograph to view the back stamp and paintress's mark. The back stamp indicates that this item was hand made and decorated between 1952 and 1955. The decoration really is superb. This bowl is in excellent condition.

These early hand painted pieces are now becoming very difficult to find in good condition. Enjoy owning such a lovely item and give it pride of place in your display.
