 Poole Pottery Stoneware, Acrylic Painted Wren on a Shoe

A beautiful Poole Pottery stoneware sculpture of a little wren perched on a shoe. It has been enhanced by the application of acrylic paint by hand.  It stands just under 3.5" tall and is in excellent condition. It was modelled by Barbara Linley-Adams and produced in about 1990. Please see the photographs to view the base where no Poole stamp is shown - not particularaly unusual.

Poole ceased producing this stoneware range several years ago. The acrylic painted style has now become very much sought after by Poole Pottery collectors. As a result, the prices have soared in recent years and items are becoming very difficult to obtain in such good condition.
