Poole Pottery Stoneware, Seal Pup.
Poole Pottery Stoneware, Seal Pup (World Wildlife Fund)
A very appealing Poole Pottery stoneware sculpture of a seal pup. It stands approximately 5.5" long and is in excellent condition. Please see the photographs to view the back stamp on the base. This delightful little item was modelled by Barbara Linley-Adams and produced from 1979 to 1982. It was produced for the World Wildlife Fund, as evidenced by the back stamp (please view the secondary photograph).
Poole ceased producing this stoneware range several years ago. This stoneware style has now become very much sought after by Poole Pottery collectors. As a result, the prices have soared in recent years and items are becoming very difficult to obtain in such good condition.
