Poole Pottery Transfer Plate, 432 Scene II (Higher Glaze Version)

This transfer plate is from a series of scenic plates produced by Poole Pottery depicting Bavarian scenes in rich colours. It has a diameter of approximately 6". The reverse of this plate is clearly marked with the Poole Pottery logo and also marked "432 Scene II". This is one of the plates that Poole produced with a glossier glaze than the run of the mill plates. It is in excellent condition.

Poole Pottery produced most of its transfer plates from open stock patterns in the 1980's and 1990's. Poole do not seem to have kept a comprehensive list of the patterns that they produced, so the many collectors of these transfer plates are constantly on the lookout for additional plates to add to their collections. Prices are now rising steadily, so make sure that you add to your collection before new aquisitions become too expensive.
