This is a pepper pot in the discontinued tableware pattern of Royal Doulton Berkshire. Available in a number of shapes, this is the ungilded version.

This pattern has not been produced by Royal Doulton for many years so it is hardly surprising that it is now becoming difficult to obtain in such excellent condition. Specialist items such as this are especially hard to find.
