Royal Doulton Carnation Oval Serving Plate (Second Quality)

A very useful and hard to find oval serving plate in the discontinued range of Carnation china produced by Royal Doulton. The plates measure approximately thirteen and a quarter inches by ten and a quarter inches.

Minor manufacturing flaws meant that these Carnation plates were originally sold by Royal Doulton as "Second Quality" and the back stamp is marked as such (most people will not even know what that mark signifies). However the plates are otherwise in excellent condition with no "obvious" defects. We are selling these items at a significantly reduced price to our "First Quality" items.

Serving plates are always difficult to obtain in good condition in discontinued ranges, such as Royal Doulton Carnation because they were not produced in such large quantities as some of the other items. Buy these excellent items while they are still available.
