POOLE POTTERY

Poole Pottery has been in production, under various titles since the 1850's. Poole was an ideal location for such an enterprise, having an enormous local supply of high quality clay suitable for pottery production, and also having a thriving port and associated transport infrastucture already in existance.

Over the long period of its existance Poole Pottery has become world renowned for its production of tiles, decorative ware and quality tableware. Despite recent financial difficulties the pottery still exists in the Poole area and interest from collectors in its many discontinued lines is at an all time high.
