This is a spare lid for the ceramic (not Pyrex) tall storage jar decorated in the Eternal Beau style and made to compliment the Eternal Beau range. 

Seals for these jars can be rather elusive. 3* items will have a good fitting seal, while 2* and 1* items may or may not have a good seal.

Eternal Beau is a readily recognised shape (octagonal plates and saucers) and pattern was sold in enormous quantities, and although production has ceased, the popularity seems to go on and on.
