This is the vertically sided soup/cereal/dessert bowl (you have our permission to use them for any of these purposes) in the award winning Contrast pattern manufactured by Hornsea Pottery. Hornsea provided a surprisingly large variety of bowl shapes in the Contrast range and, surprisingly for such a practical shape, this is one of the less common ones. 

Hornsea Pottery went out of business several years ago. This has caused its popular tableware ranges to become even more hotly sought after than they were before that time.
