This is the dinner plate in the popular Contrast pattern produced by Hornsea Pottery. These are the largest of the three circular plates available in this design. 

Hornsea Pottery discontinued the Contrast range in the early 90's after a production run of nearly 20 years. The pattern is still very popular, but items are now becoming difficult to obtain in good condition. Excellent condition Hornsea Contrast dinner plates seem to be particularly difficult to find, as most that we are offered do not reach the high quality standards that we demand.
